DEVILBISS GETS FOURTH WWMT WIN AND SECURES WWMT CHAMPIONSHIP

ATOMIC CITY, IDAHO (September 17 & 18, 2010)- Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, New Mexico traveled to the Atomic Motor Raceway in Atomic City, Idaho for the season finale of the 2010 EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour season. Zane headed into the weekend only two points out of the points lead. He started the night off by starting fourth in heat race number three and took the win and transferring into the feature. He then redrew a eight which started him in the eighth spot in the feature. Within' just a few laps he was up front battling for the lead. He eventually got the lead and then never looked back as he went on the win his fourth WWMT feature win of the 2010 season and taking the points lead in the WWMT by only one point. The next day, Zane was seen starting in the fourth spot again but in the first heat race. The track was not in very good shape as it had only one groove. Zane was able to get to the second spot in the heat race. That finish still transferred him into the feature. He did not draw as well this time as he drew a twelve. Zane easily made it up to the second spot and giving the leader a run until a restart. Zane had the bottom and the third place car took the outside. The third place car forced Zane in the slop causing him to spin the tires and was sent back to third. Zane held on to a third place finish and securing the WWMT championship. Zane will now head to the Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah for the fifth annual Castle Country Clash. Zane sits only four points out of the lead at the Price, Utah speed-plant.
