TAKES HOME THE VICTORY IN IDAHO FALLS!

IDAHO FALLS, ID. (Friday, May 14, 2010)- Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, New Mexico raced from the fifth starting spot to win the EQ Cylinder Heads IMCA Wild West Modified Tour season opener of 2010. DeVilbiss passed race leader Aaron Spangler of Dove Creek, Colorado on lap 8 of the 30 scheduled laps and never looked back.
DeVilbiss then had to hold off hard charging Las Vegas, Nevada native, Ryan Cotrell for the race lead. Ricky Alvarado ran a steady third until he looked under Cotrell and went head on with a tire at the bottom of the track. Alvarado continued and worked his way back up through the field with heavy front end damage to finish in eleventh position.
Don Baisch of Rigby, Idaho was the hard charger of the race as he started in twenty fifth and worked his way up to the ninth spot.
Rounding out the top five was Ryan Cotrell of Las Vegas, Nevada, Travis Metz of Blackfoot, Justen Yeager of Green River, Wyoming, and in fifth was Richard Anderson of Shelley
The
track was really fast and had no dust which it put on a great show
for the fans. 39 drivers checked in and the race was slowed by four
cautions.
