DEVILBISS GETS SECOND AND FIFTH IN CORTEZ!

CORTEZ, COLORADO (July 9 & 10, 2010)- Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, New Mexico headed to the Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, Colorado to look for some redemption after a tough weekend in Aztec the weekend before. Zane started on the outside second row in his heat race and was able to transfer to the invert for the feature after finishing in second. Zippy then would be seen starting in the eighth position in the feature. The track was in rough condition but he still was able to get up to the second position and battle with the race leader but fell short and got second. The next day, Zippy was seen in heat race number one with all three teammates in that heat. Zane started in the seventh spot and gained five spots to finish in the second spot behind teammate Wyatt Howard. That finish qualified him for the invert for the feature. Zane started in the tenth spot due to points average. Zippy zipped around the top. He quickly got himself inside the top five but cautions forced the top to fade away. Zane ended up finishing in fifth. Zane will now travel to the Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyoming for some EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour action.
