Story

CORTEZ, COLORADO (July 23, 2010)- After just getting done racing on Tuesday in the state of Nebraska, Zane was at it again on that Friday at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, Colorado. It had been pouring rain all week in the Cortez area and it looked like the whole weekend of racing would be canceled. The Fairgrounds Speedway staff made the decision on Friday morning that the races were still on schedule. The track was really tacky fast. Zane would start in the fifth spot in the heat race and would take the lead early and nearly lap cars in the eight lap heat race. The heat win put him starting in the ninth spot in the feature. Zane would be seen on the cushion and was hooked up until he was pushed off the track and spun in turn three and four. He then restarted in the rear of the nineteen car field and would rocket his way up to finish in fifth. The Saturday night races were canceled due to weather. DeVilbiss will now get ready for the Desert Thunder Raceway twin-bill in Price, Utah.
