Story by: Team Jet Lift Racing

ROCK SPRINGS, WYOMING (July 16 & 17, 2010)- Zippy Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, New Mexico headed up to the Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyoming for some EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour action. He came close to win the WWMT races at Sweetwater last season and was looking to take the wins this year. DeVilbiss was seen in the first heat race of the night. The track was really fast and had a lot of moisture. Zippy took the lead from his third starting spot to win the heat race. Zane was seen starting in the ninth spot in the feature and he was able to move into the top five quickly. Zane passed Ryan Cotrell for the lead a couple times but had to move back to second because of the cautions. Zippy would come home with a third place finish after a car passed him for second with a few laps left. On Saturday, Zane was seen in the second heat race with teammate Chase Hansen in that heat. Zane started in third and was in the lead quick. Zippy never looked back as he won the heat and redrew number ten for the feature. Zippy was quickly up to second behind race leader Ricky Alvarado. Alvarado was forced to pit side and that gave DeVilbiss the lead. DeVilbiss lead a lot of laps until he was passed by Ryan Cotrell on the bottom side of the track. Zippy raced hard but was unable to get by Cotrell. Zane will now head back east to Nebraska for another three days of racing.
