ATOMIC CITY, IDAHO (August 7, 2010)- After dominating both features at the Idaho Falls Raceway in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, New Mexico was looking to make it three wins in one weekend at the Atomic Motor Raceway in Atomic City, Idaho. Zane has one victory under his belt at Atomic. He took the victory in 2009 during the EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour race. So, he has a really good chance at winning the race. Zane would be seen starting in the ninth spot and won by an amazing three-quarter of a lap and in doing so, he shattered Travis Metz' track record by little over a second. Metz held the record for six years and DeVilbiss took that away. By the time the feature came around, Zane would be seen starting in the fifth spot in the main event. Before the races started, a car had spun and Zane got tangled with him but was able to continue. Zane got up to second on lap one but, the car went straight into the wall on the front stretch, destroying his race car. The main cause was from the incident before the races even started. Zane will now be thrashing on the car trying to get ready for the EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour twin-bill at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, Colorado.
